We are truly grateful to our donors whose generosity helped thousands of Calgarians get the mental health support they needed in such a challenging year. Our donors are able to see the impact and value of ensuring there are no financial barriers for anyone in our community to access highly effective mental health services without a waitlist.
Donor Profile
2021 continued to challenge many of us. With the changing COVID-19 restrictions and new variants adding stress, anxiety, and frustration.
We are humbled again by the generosity of so many individuals, families, groups, foundations, and corporations who supported CCC clients and their families’ mental health needs this past year. Thank you for your support! There are too many to list, but we are pleased to share some highlights.
We had several donors host creative events to raise funds for CCC, including a month-long campaign to wear a dress every day in June, donations in lieu of birthday gifts, proceeds from 50/50 draws and hiking for mental health. Donating for the third year to CCC, the line dancing group Keepin’ It Country, who performs year-round and donates the proceeds to support mental health in our community.
The Calgary Flames Foundation supported many organizations throughout the past year through their COVID Community Support Program, including CCC, to help with the increase in demand for mental health support.
Through the Shaw Charity Classics Birdies for Kids presented by Altalink, we were able to leverage their matching program raising over $97,000 to help children and youth get the help they need without a waitlist at CCC.
Benevity is a local donation processing platform that companies use to power their workplace giving, matching and volunteer programs, and allowing people to give to or volunteer for their favourite charities. Last year we received 111 donations from donors through Benevity!
We were very grateful to the Auxilium Foundation whose $100,000 investment allowed CCC to leverage other major donors by matching their gifts. We also what to thank a generous donor who provided an additional $30,000 in year-end campaign matching funds and to everyone who gave during our year end campaign so that we could maximize the opportunity!
Thank you again to all our donors who support the work of CCC and invest in our clients’ well-being – you are making a real difference!
