Our Pillars
Counselling
At Calgary Counselling Centre and Counselling Alberta, we are committed to providing exceptional mental health support, ensuring our clients receive the care they need to thrive.
Our counselling programs, recognized globally for their outstanding results, continue to transform lives by using an evidence-based, client-centred approach.
Every individual’s counselling journey is unique, and we tailor each experience using Feedback Informed Treatment (FIT). Clients complete questionnaires before and after each session to assess their mental health progress and the therapeutic relationship they have with their counsellor. This data is visualized in real time, allowing counsellors and clients to collaboratively adjust treatment for the best possible outcomes. This process not only strengthens client results but also informs program development and enhances counsellor training.
In 2024, affordability remained a significant concern for many of our clients, reinforcing our commitment to accessible mental health care. We continue to offer in-person, online, and telephone counselling to provide flexible and immediate support.
Group counselling continues to grow as a vital complement to individual counselling. Clients who participate in group counselling after individual sessions experience nearly twice the benefits, leading to increased participation.
Our dedication to achieving the highest results for our clients is reflected in our ongoing investment in the professional development of our team. Counsellors participate in monthly consultations with experts like Dr. Scott Miller and Dr. Michael Yapko, reinforcing our dedication to high-quality, evidence-based care.
In September 2024, Calgary Counselling Centre received official accreditation from the Canadian Accreditation Council. We were awarded the maximum four-year term for governance and management, and the maximum three-year term for our counselling program—an exceptional result for a first-time program accreditation. This achievement reaffirms our commitment to the highest standards of service delivery and reflects the quality, integrity, and effectiveness of the care we provide across Alberta.
