Pillars<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading alignwide\">Counselling Alberta<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-large-font-size\">Counselling Alberta, a division of Calgary Counselling Centre, plays a vital role in extending mental health support to communities across Alberta. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Launched to provide accessible care for individuals and families throughout Alberta including in rural and remote regions, Counselling Alberta has expanded rapidly over the past year, receiving 5,326 requests for service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:80px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-vertically-aligned-bottom is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" 2024, Counselling Alberta significantly increased its presence, serving clients in 173 cities, towns, and villages across the province. We continue to work with several partner agencies to ensure clients could access in-person support, including:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>The Family Centre &#8211; Edmonton&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Momentum Counselling &#8211; Edmonton&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Some Other Solutions &#8211; Fort McMurray&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Catholic Family Services &#8211; Grande Prairie&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lethbridge Family Services &#8211; As part of the provincial hazard response and the Calgary Emergency Wellness Response Team (EWRT) we provided immediate mental health support at the Calgary reception centre for evacuees of the Jasper Wildfire. The reception centre was open for 43 days, assisting approximately 1,800 Jasper evacuees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to this support, we created a dedicated webpage with resources and information on how to cope with the stress and emotional toll of the fires.
