We continue to make a significant impact on the mental health of thousands of individuals and families thanks to the amazing generosity of our donors. Our donors support many different needs at the Centre, including ensuring our clients have access to quality mental health services regardless of their ability to pay, investing in our training and education program to help develop the skills and education of our future mental health practitioners, and funding projects like updating our IT needs.

Donor Profile

Mental health continues to be a challenge for many in our community with the need for readily available counselling services becoming increasingly critical due to the rising costs of basic needs, interest rates, and inflation. At Calgary Counselling Centre, we deeply appreciate the extensive support we’ve received over the past year. The philanthropy extended by numerous individuals, families, groups, foundations, and corporations has been instrumental in meeting the mental health needs of our clients and their families. You helped make a difference in our community – thank you!

We are immensely grateful for all of our donors, and while we can’t list everyone, we want to highlight a select few from 2023.

TELUS Future Friendly Foundation

We are honoured that The TELUS Friendly Future Foundation supported new innovative technologies for young clients at Calgary Counselling Centre. Thanks to TELUS’s investment, we were able to add five additional languages to our Youth Outcome Questionnaire (YOQ), help to ensure more accessible mental health services to youth 12 and up. This will help our youth achieve better outcomes. Parents will also benefit from these additional languages when completing the questionnaire for their children 11 and under.

The TELUS Friendly Future Foundation’s support was invaluable in assisting those impacted by the wildfires. This type of stress and uncertainty can take a mental and emotional toll and it’s important that we be there for those affected. This $20,000 grant helped us provide mental health support without financial barriers to the evacuees.

We also recognize the valuable contributions of our three matching donors – Auxilium Foundation, an anonymous donor, and the Shaw Charity Classics Birdies for Kids program presented by Altalink. We were able to leverage their investments and increase the positive impact of their support. Thanks to all the donors who maximized those investments by giving to our matching campaigns throughout the year.

Thanks to our 2023 National Depression Screening Day sponsors who raised awareness in various ways to this important annual community service campaign: Bell Let’s Talk, PETRONAS Canada, and Alberta Blue Cross. Thanks as well to ATB for powering the self-care tool kit that is a part of this initiative.

Thank you again to all our valued donors and sponsors who are helping make a real impact in our communities. We recognize and value your trust in our commitment to support our clients and their families who need us.
